How to Find your Boiler Serial Number

No one enjoys experiencing a broken-down boiler – so make any such issues a little easier on yourself by knowing where your boiler number can be found. You’ll need to know this number in two situations; firstly, if your Home Appliance Care engineer is trying to establish the age, make and model of the boiler – and secondly, if you are seeking specific repair or operational instructions. Provision of the boiler number will greatly help the customer services agent that you speak to via our helpline and greatly speed up your query, so we can book in your fixed price repair appointment as quickly and effectively as possible.

So how do you find the boiler serial number? Well, the good news is that it’s very easy and shouldn’t take you long. The serial number is usually found on a visible sticker, and if you pull down the front panel at the bottom of your boiler, you should see a bar code underneath. On some older models, the serial number will usually be found either on the inside front panel, or on the top of the boiler itself. If you can’t spot it, ask the engineer who carries out the next service; or call the Home Appliance Care helpline for further advice.

As well as locating the boiler serial number before you do experience a fault or error, keep your manufacturer’s warranty and guarantee information, operating instructions and service record, together in an easily accessible place. Both of these actions will involve a great deal of stress in a call out situation, and help you to feel more organised!
